| The firm of McGovern, Hurley, Cunningham, LLP, commenced operations in the early nineteen-eighties with the joining together of two individual practices that existed previous to that date. The origin of these practices date back into the late 1960's. Currently, we are nine Partners, one Principal, and approximately forty staff. Our staff consists of employed CA's, CA students and technicians and we occupy approximately 12,000 square feet of space in the City of Toronto. We are committed to providing timely, quality service to our clients and to meet and exceed their expectations in the fields of auditing, accounting, taxation, financial planning and other aspects of their businesses, both corporate and personal, private and publicly accountable. We believe we carry out our engagements with a high degree of professionalism, but at the same time, we consider ourselves "people-oriented". As a small business, we understand that in order to be successful we must offer excellent service.
We provide public accounting services to over 1,000 corporate and professional clients, both private and public companies, involved in all areas of business activities. We are registered with the Canadian Public Accountability Board (CPAB) and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) to perform audit services for reporting issuers in Canada and the United States, respectively. We are also registered with the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) as an approved panel auditor.
Although we are not an international firm, we are able to service corporations with activities in other countries by establishing relationships with local offices of international accounting firms or local firms. This complies with the Canadian auditing standards. We currently have clients with global operations. |
